Product Manager, Wet End Products

Valmet is looking for a Product Manager, Wet End Products, responsible for applying wet end and dewatering technology offerings to find customer solutions while working in the performance parts/consumable portion of the business. Providing the best customer solutions, developing growth targets within each area, and ensuring the product presentations are tailored to the specific needs of customers. The candidate must have a technical understanding of wet end solutions and dewatering offerings within the performance parts group. This position requires both significant external interaction with customers for solution generation and significant internal interaction for defining specifications and scopes.

Responsibilities

Apply wet end and dewatering technology offerings to find customer solutions in the performance parts/consumable portion of the business; Develop growth targets within each area; Ensure product presentations are tailored to specific customer needs; Project development; Reviewing technical specifications and drawings; Providing technical support; Assisting sales with troubleshooting wet end and dewatering solutions; Business area responsibilities in North America, with possible international travel; Generating and/or proposal drawings, graphs, simulations and/or specifications and assisting with quotes; Supporting Engineering and Inspectors/drafters with applying the latest Valmet technology; Developing and maintaining strong technical competence in wet end and dewatering technology, including training responsibilities for internal and external customers; Working closely with PEP PSM's in North America to develop and grow the wet end and dewatering (DWEA) business

Requirements

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, or five years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience; Technical understanding of wet end solutions and dewatering offerings within the performance parts group; Travel is required for this position

Nice to have

A good understanding of paper machinery; Knowledge of wet end related products and technologies; Ability to translate strategy into meaningful actions
