Production Associate 1st Shift

Base pay starts at $18.50 per hour

Shift: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm (hours may vary depending on operations)

Responsibilities

Carry out tasks as directed by the department supervisor or team lead.; Engage in the assembly process, utilizing techniques such as sewing, cutting, clipping, and hooking to transform raw materials into sub-assemblies or final product.; Affix labels and tags to products and their packaging appropriately.; Utilize scanning equipment; Inspect work visually for defects according to quality standards; Prepare finished goods for shipping by packing them effectively.; Monitor production progress on schedule boards.; Report any equipment or material discrepancies to the supervisor promptly.; Uphold cleanliness and safety in the workplace.; Perform general labor duties across various departments.; Assist with hemming and the relocation of finished materials to trucks, utilizing overhead cranes and forklifts.; Serve as a positive role model consistent with Cornerstone Building Brands Mission, Vision and Core Values; Provide cost saving suggestions and ideas to improve production and eliminate waste; Must be willing/able to work overtime; Must be able to read a tape measure, write, and follow posted schedules; Willing to learn and take on additional tasks as assigned; Team player and keeping safety first

Requirements

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; Previous experience in a related area is preferred; Must have basic Microsoft knowledge; Experience with side forklift, bander, nail gun, overhead crane, saws, stretch wrap machine, and various pneumatic equipment preferred, not required; Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
