Production Operator I

As a part of the global industrial organization Marmon Holdings—which is backed by Berkshire Hathaway— you’ll be doing things that matter, leading at every level, and winning a better way. This position can be assigned to any of the three main production departments within the manufacturing facility: Stamping, Assembly, and Finish. The primary functions include stamping parts for metal burial caskets, welding and grinding stamped parts, and installing finishing parts such as bed, mattress, fabric coverings, hardware, panels, etc.

Responsibilities

Stamp parts for metal burial caskets using different types of presses; Weld and grind the stamped parts of metal burial caskets; Install the finishing parts of metal burial caskets including bed, mattress, fabric coverings, hardware, panels, etc.; Operate machinery, small and/or heavy; Lift or move materials, parts, or finished goods; Perform production-related jobs within assigned department

Dependable; Flexible; Excellent observation skills for quality standards; High standards of safety; Must have the ability to follow standard and complex instructions; Perform in a fast-paced environment; Operate machinery, small and/or heavy; Lift or move materials, parts, or finished goods; Must be able to handle, lift, and load caskets up to approximately 100lbs
