Production Operator

As a part of the global industrial organization Marmon Holdings—which is backed by Berkshire Hathaway— you’ll be doing things that matter, leading at every level, and winning a better way. Assembles minor products or components with a small number of details within routine and highly repetitive assembly operations. Typically works at a workbench or on a conveyer line. Common tasks include checking, sorting, packaging, labeling, pasting, sniping, tying, or trimming either manually or by machine. Performs basic equipment adjustments, routine maintenance, and cleaning.

Responsibilities

Perform machine set up; Meet all customer specifications; Process orders according to customer due dates; Participate in scheduling the machine so it runs efficiently; Performing operator PM’s every day to keep machines running at optimal levels; Complete various documents; Keep a clean and safe working environment; Any other duties deemed necessary by Manager.

Requirements

Must be able to perform basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; Must be quality oriented with strong attention to detail; Must be able to read and write English; Must be able to verbally communicate in English; Able to stand for 8 hours; Able to lift 40 pounds; Must be safety, quality, and service oriented with a continuous improvement mindset; Must be able to work safely around moving materials and equipment.
