Production Supervisor | Mon -Thursday 7pm -7am

The Production Supervisor is responsible for employee safety, quality, and supervising production in a high pace environment. Ensures compliance with daily planning, manufacturing and shipment schedules, while maintaining standards of quality, specifications, costs, productivity and safety. Provides employee training and maintains compliance with established rules, regulations, and practices.

Responsibilities

Supervising production in a high pace environment; Ensuring compliance with daily planning, manufacturing and shipment schedules; Maintaining standards of quality, specifications, costs, productivity and safety; Providing employee training and maintaining compliance with established rules, regulations, and practices; Identify unsafe conditions and eliminate safety hazards; Ensure all members are trained and working in a safe manner; Develop and track new operator training; Train and cross-train operators as required; Measure operator efficiency and communicate progress/challenges; Responsible for maintaining levels of production including safety, line speeds, product quality and work order quantities; Ensure Quality Standards are being met throughout the entire production process; Promote and support Marmon Utility Lean program; Organize each work center to achieve maximum efficiency

Requirements

Equivalent experience of 3 - 5 years minimum within a manufacturing environment, in a supervisory capacity; Strong mechanical and process aptitude and working knowledge of wire/cable machinery; Strong conceptual and analytical skills, organization and problem-solving ability, verbal and written communications skills and excellent interpersonal skills; Must be a team player and a developer of teamwork within areas supervised; Physical demands associated with this position include extensive walking, lifting & carrying heavy weighted materials (up to 75 lbs); Must be able to perform extensive standing, driving, walking, and climbing; Must be able to operate test equipment, machinery; use power tools; work at heights using ladders and scaffolding

Nice to have

Direct wire and cable experience; 2 - 4 year degree in engineering or manufacturing technology; Lean Sigma training; Maintenance Knowledge; Microsoft Office Knowledge
