Professional Handyman Service Technician II

Responsibilities

Completing maintenance and repairs, including commercial and residential small to medium maintenance and repairs and project team remodels; Making recommendations and managing expectations with customers about scope of work and costs; Creating life-long customers by delivering a great experience following the Mr. Handyman Way; Self-managing, as you’ll be alone often; Speaking with customers and providing excellent customer service while asking for reviews and collecting payments; Documenting the job while following the Mr. Handyman Way process; Wearing proper PPE as well as booties to protect customers' homes

Requirements

Live within the area; Have 10+ years’ experience as a paid handyman; Own your own tools; Be insurable for driving our vehicle; Complete and pass a background and driving record check; Able to lift 50 pounds independently; Able to safely work at heights and work overhead for extended periods of time; Professional appearance and maintenance of company-provided vehicle; Strong proficiency in at least three of the following: carpentry work, bathroom improvements, kitchen improvements, painting inside and out, drywall work minor and major repairs, general plumbing and electrical where allowed by law, floor installation and refurbishing, familiar with building codes; Cultural alignment working in a flexible, fast paced, young franchise environment; Buy-in to executing the Mr. Handyman Way and delivering an exceptional customer experience; Coachable with strong organizational skills and attention to detail while demonstrating excellent communication skills with customers and team members; Meets expectations including delivering an exceptional customer experience while working to maximize billable hours daily; Self-manage as you’ll be alone often; Speak with customers and provide excellent customer service while asking for reviews and collecting payments; Have the necessary tools, including the ability to use technology; Document the job while following the Mr. Handyman Way process; Wear proper PPE as well as booties to protect customers' homes
