Professional Handyman Service Technician II

Responsibilities

Completing maintenance and repairs; Making recommendations and managing expectations with customers; Creating life-long customers by delivering a great experience; Following the Mr. Handyman Way; Documenting the job while following the process; Asking for reviews and collecting payments; Wearing proper PPE and booties to protect customer’s home

Requirements

Live within the area; Have 10+ years’ experience as a paid handyman; Own your own tools; Be insurable for driving our vehicle; Complete and pass a background and driving record check; Able to lift 50 pounds independently; Able to safely work at heights and work overhead for extended periods of time; Professional appearance and maintenance of company-provided vehicle; Strong proficiency in at least three of the following: carpentry work, bathroom improvements, kitchen improvements, painting inside and out, drywall work minor and major repairs, general plumbing and electrical where allowed by law, floor installation and refurbishing, familiar with building codes; Cultural alignment working in a flexible, fast paced, young franchise environment; Buy-in to executing the Mr. Handyman Way and delivering an exceptional customer experience; Coachable with strong organizational skills and attention to detail while demonstrating excellent communication skills with customers and team members; Meet expectations including delivering exceptional customer experience while working to maximize billable hours daily; Self-manage as you will be alone often; Provide excellent customer service while asking for reviews and collecting payments; Have necessary tools, including the ability to use technology; Document the job while following the Mr. Handyman Way; Wear proper PPE as well as booties to protect customer’s home
