Radiography Technologist - FT - Days - $20K Sign on Bonus - MRH

Performs various imaging procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

Responsibilities

Performs various imaging procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization; Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s); Analyzes images and identifies issues with the quality of images; Prepares equipment and supplies; Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters; Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment; When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice; Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate; Reviews patient history and physician's orders; Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam; Takes on call shift responsibilities as required by the department; Charges appropriately for all supplies used for procedure and utilizes appropriate exam codes.

Requirements

Accredited Program: Radiology (Required); ARRT_American Registry of Radiology Tech (ARRT) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT); BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART); BLS American Heart RQI E-Card (BLS AHA-RQI ECARD) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART); BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART); BLS Certification Grace (BLS GRACE) - Employee Grace Period for Essential Credential (GRACE); BLS Cert Red Cross (BLS RC) - Red Cross (RED CROSS); Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL); Must possess an active Radiography Certificate from the State of Florida and must take the ARRT(R) examination; If hired to support Women Imaging: Candidate must obtain (M) Certification within 1 year; Candidate must be flexible to travel to all MHS Women’s Imaging Centers; Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision; Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action; No prior work experience required.
