Regional Engineering Manager

Your role is a constant blend of: Building Operations – You are an expert in all physical operations of mid-rise, high-rise and retail properties. You will recommend, review and continuing providing a quality business environment for tenants and a productive working relationship with property staff and outsourced engineering team. Building Management – You contribute to the achievement of property financial goals through effective productivity of internal and outsourced engineering staff. You'll regularly study asset needs, prepare schedules and inspections, and implement changes to ensure more efficient management of building maintenance operations. Leadership – You develop and support the internal and outsourced engineering team with a focus on efficiency, training, growth, and engagement. Review and coordination of construction process. You will review construction plans and ensure specifications are upheld. Industry Expertise – You have the in-depth and up-to-date knowledge on all commercial property-specific needs or problems.

Responsibilities

Recommend, review and continuing providing a quality business environment for tenants; contribute to the achievement of property financial goals through effective productivity of internal and outsourced engineering staff; study asset needs, prepare schedules and inspections, implement changes for more efficient management of building maintenance operations; develop and support internal and outsourced engineering team; supervise internal and outsourced teams across multiple properties; review construction plans and ensure specifications are upheld; review and schedule contractors, prepare work scopes and contracts related to capital projects; analyze data, make suggestions and oversee implementation of operations

Requirements

Minimum of seven (7) years of experience working in mid-rise and high-rise office buildings, including at least five (5) years of supervisory property management experience; high school diploma or general education degree (GED); strong interest in Property Management and the ability to apply technical knowledge to building operations; strong written and verbal ability to communicate effectively across functions; proven ability to build and maintain partnerships with internal and external stakeholders; team-oriented communicator who is entrepreneurial, passionate, self-starting, creative, principled, and strong brand ambassador

Nice to have

FACP, electrical, HVAC, locks, water features, fire life safety systems, and building automation; Bachelor's degree; formal training through programs such as BOMA, IREM, and/or vocational coursework
