Registered Nurse - Newborn Transitional Nurse - Labor & Delivery

This role focuses on providing specialized, compassionate care to newborns during their critical transition from birth to postnatal life. Key responsibilities include attending deliveries, initiating Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) interventions as needed, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and supporting families during this important experience.

The nurse will work collaboratively with physicians and the broader healthcare team to ensure each infant receives high-quality, individualized care.

The ideal candidate is a registered nurse with experience in neonatal or pediatric settings, strong clinical assessment skills, and a compassionate, family-centered approach to care.

Responsibilities

Attending deliveries; Initiating Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) interventions as needed; Monitoring vital signs; Administering medications; Supporting families during this experience; Working collaboratively with physicians and the broader healthcare team; Ensuring each infant receives high-quality, individualized care

Requirements

Graduation from a qualified, nationally-accredited nursing program; Current RN licensure permitting work in the State of Arizona; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; NRP and ACLS certification

Nice to have

One year of nursing experience in an acute care setting; Experience in neonatal or pediatric settings; Strong clinical assessment skills; Compassionate, family-centered approach to care; Subspecialty certification in electronic fetal monitoring
