Registered Nurse RN Clinical Manager Perianesthesai PreOp PACU

This position plans and provides clinical support to patients and staff. Demonstrates clinical expertise of the assigned area. Provides leadership in clinical, financial, and personnel management within the department. Approximately 25-30 direct reports within the Pre-Op, Phase 1 Recovery and Phase 2 areas. Full-time, 4/10s per week, 9am-7:30pm (to be adjusted based on department needs). On call, weekends, and holidays required.

Responsibilities

Oversees unit operations to ensure smooth and efficient patient care management; Assigns patients to beds and staff; Completes daily rounding on patients and staff; Manages the unit to ensure patient and employee satisfaction, safety, and retention; Serves as a real-time clinical resource for staff and physicians; Coordinates quality initiatives and process improvements; Develops staff leadership skills and supports career advancement; Facilitates unit meetings and shared governance efforts; Responsible for selection, orientation, onboarding, and retention of staff; Coaches staff and conducts performance evaluations and corrective actions; Assists in developing the operational and capital budget; Provides daily resource management including staff, supplies, and equipment; Supervises clinical unit staff, including schedules, time cards, and supply orders

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN required); Current RN license in state of practice; BLS required; At least 1-2 years of clinical experience relevant to patient population; Knowledge and skills of specialty area; Critical thinking, communication, influence, decision-making, analytical, and flexibility skills; Ability to balance clinical skills with supervisory authority; New Leader Experience certification within one year; Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card and signed Arizona Criminal History Affidavit for Behavioral Health roles serving children (if applicable)
