Registered Nurse (RN)-Emergency Department

45 bed unit that provides nursing care to patient population needing emergency services. Lutheran General is a Level 1 Trauma Medical Center with magnet designation. Advocate Lutheran General Hospital is a 686 bed, non-profit, acute care, teaching hospital, level 1 trauma center and level 3 perinatal center.

Responsibilities

Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures; Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum

Requirements

Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing; Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association and ACLS; PALS to be obtained within 3 months of start date; Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
