Registered Nurse RN ICU

In the role of Registered Nurse in the ICU at Banner Casa Grande Medical Center, you will work on a 22-bed ICU caring for medical, surgical and cardiac patients, including respiratory failure, COPD, heart failure, liver failure, renal failure, sepsis, general surgery patients, MI's, arrhythmias, and status post STEMI patients. The unit is supported by 24-hour tele-health with access to seasoned ICU RNs and an Intensivist. Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00PM-7:30AM) with weekend rotations. The position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care in accordance with organizational policies and standards of professional nursing practice.

Responsibilities

Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs; Formulate and revise plan of care in collaboration with patient, family and multidisciplinary team; Implement plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision; Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching; Document assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record; Provide care based on the best evidence available; Participate in unit or facility shared leadership; Interact and participate in education, role development and orientation of staff, patients, students and families; Precept and mentor others when appropriate

Requirements

Current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice; BLS certification required; Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice; Experience in the clinical area for which he or she is applying is desired; Must maintain clinical performance competencies through annual validations; Minimum 12 months RN ICU experience for the sign-on incentive

Nice to have

Bachelor's degree preferred; Professional certification preferred; Additional related education and/or experience preferred
