Registered Nurse (RN) - New Graduate - Adult ED

The Lexington Medical Center Emergency Department focuses on patient care, nursing satisfaction, safety, and teamwork as it continues to grow. The department offers 25 beds and includes specialized areas for core emergency care, super track services, and behavioral health support. Our primary focus is to provide patient-centered care while efficiently stabilizing patients and ensuring appropriate management of their disposition. As a hospital dedicated to serving the community, we offer a comprehensive 45-bed medical-surgical unit, a post-surgical area with a focus on orthopedics and urology, and an expanding critical care unit. While upholding the approachable environment characteristic of a community hospital, we are progressing as part of the Advocate system, implementing advanced technology to deliver essential healthcare services to our patients.

Responsibilities

As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures; Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum

Requirements

Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing; Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association; ACLS are required within 6 months of hire
