Registered Nurse RN Operating Room OR

Banner Ocotillo Medical Center Main Surgery Department has 4 Operating rooms and 1 Endo room. We will offer a full range of surgical procedures including orthopedics, Urology, General, Gynecology, Robotics and Endocrine. This OR suite will be fast paced with an emphasis on patient centered care. Part-time, 20 hours per week, 2 10-hour shifts, shift 6:30am-5pm, varied schedule, with on call, weekends and holidays rotating with other staff.

Responsibilities

Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs; Formulate and revise plan of care in collaboration with patient, family and multidisciplinary team; Implement plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision; Evaluate patient response to care and teaching; Document assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record; Provide care based on best evidence available; Participate in education, orientation, precepting and mentoring of staff, students, patients and families; Participate in unit or facility shared leadership; Interact with physicians, staff, patients, families and external contacts concerning patient care; May supervise staff and workflow of the department

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited nursing program, including an Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in Nursing, or completion of a specialized nursing diploma program that includes at least two years of specialized training and/or experience; Current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice; BLS certification; OR Circulator experience; Experience in the clinical area for which the candidate is applying is desired; Maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the area through annual validations

Nice to have

Bachelor's degree preferred; Professional certification preferred; Additional related education and/or experience preferred
