Registered Nurse RN Pratt 6 North Neuro Cardiac Nights

Manages individualized, outcome oriented nursing care through the use of the nursing process. Provides care, treatment and services through the successful coordination and completion of a series of processes that include assessment, planning care, providing care, in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures

Responsibilities

Medication administration in line with SSH policies, including documentation and narcotic handling; Develop, evaluate and update individualized plans of care and document outcomes; Complete admission assessments within 8 hours and identify patient/family teaching needs; Document patient care and pain assessments per policy; Facilitate discharge/transfer by 12:00pm; Verify patient identification and follow infection control and safety procedures; Participate in hospital codes and emergency preparedness; Obtain at least 5 contact hours of education per year; Practice within the MA Nurse Practice Act; Use required technology, including Lotus Notes and department software; Comply with legal, regulatory, privacy and security standards; Provide patient and family centered, culturally sensitive care

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (preferred); RN - Registered Nurse license; Depending on department: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification, Emergency Response Training Certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC), Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) Certification
