Registered Nurse (RN) PT Days - Med/Surg Ortho - AH Mercy

Registered Nurse (RN) – Atrium Health Mercy – 7 North/South Med/Surg Ortho. This position is Sign-on Bonus eligible. 48-bed Orthopedic Surgery Medical Surgical Telemetry Unit: Most common procedures are Total Joint – knee, hip, shoulder replacement, spine, shoulder procedures, general medical patients. As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Atrium Health Mercy is a 196-bed facility of Carolinas Medical Center (CMC), Magnet designated in Nursing Excellence and a Planetree designated patient-centered hospital.

Responsibilities

Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures; Use evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and communication skills while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience; Collect and analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses, problems, and issues; Identify expected outcomes and develop an individualized plan with strategies to attain measurable outcomes; Implement the plan, coordinate care delivery, and promote health and a safe environment; Delegate elements of care to appropriate healthcare workers; Evaluate progress toward attainment of goals and outcomes; Communicate effectively and collaborate with healthcare consumer and key stakeholders; Integrate evidence and research findings into practice; Contribute to quality nursing practice; Practice ethically and in a culturally congruent manner

Requirements

Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing; Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association; At least 6 months inpatient nursing experience required to come in outside of the New Grad residency program; Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; Current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner in the state in which you work and reside; Work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling; Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds; Must speak English in good, understandable terms; Physical Abilities Testing required

Nice to have

1 year of inpatient nursing experience preferred; BSN preferred
