Responsibilities

Assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with breathing disorders; Administering respiratory therapies; Performing and interpreting diagnostic tests; Monitoring and managing mechanical ventilators for patients who require respiratory support; Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans; Providing patient education and support on proper breathing techniques, medication usage, and lifestyle changes; Maintaining accurate and complete patient assessments, treatments, and progress documentation

Requirements

Certificate Required; Associate of Science Preferred; Basic Life Support (BLS) Required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred; Or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Preferred; Or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification Preferred; Florida Licensed Respiratory Therapist Required-DOH
