Rehabilitation Support Worker

Here is your opportunity to start a career in rehabilitation support work. You do not need experience in care or support roles – we provide a full induction and specialist training and coaching. Working in brain injury rehabilitation, you will encourage and guide individuals, helping them gain the skills and confidence to live independently. This role is based in Redford Court/Lodge, a 29-bed service in Liverpool providing rehabilitation to people with an acquired brain injury. You will follow individual support plans to meet the needs and aspirations of each person, focusing on developing independent living skills and providing hands-on personal care where needed. It is a varied job with activities to organise and participate in both at Redford Court/Lodge and in the local Liverpool community.

Responsibilities

Provide personalised support to service users with acquired brain injury; Follow individual support plans to meet the needs and aspirations of each person; Focus on developing independent living skills including personal hygiene, meal preparation, exercise, leisure activities, and socialising; Provide hands-on personal care, including bathing, where service users have identified physical needs; Organise and participate in activities at Redford Court/Lodge and in the local Liverpool community such as art, crafts, music, sports, gardening, shopping, and swimming

Requirements

Genuine empathy for residents, with positivity, patience, and resilience to support them through difficult times; Enjoy teamwork and take pride in getting a job done well alongside colleagues; Excellent face-to-face communication skills and a good standard of literacy; Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise own workload
