Relief Security Officer

We're looking for professional, reliable and customer-focused Relief Security Officers to support DWP (Job Centre) sites across Livingston, Bathgate, Edinburgh. This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You'll work across multiple locations, providing a visible and reassuring security presence while helping to create a safe and welcoming environment for staff, visitors and members of the public.

Responsibilities

Maintaining a safe and secure environment across DWP sites; Conducting patrols and routine security checks; Responding professionally to incidents and emergencies; Monitoring and reporting suspicious activity or potential risks; Completing incident reports and maintaining accurate records; Supporting staff and visitors with a professional and approachable manner; Following all Assignment Instructions and site procedures; Reporting Health & Safety concerns promptly and appropriately

Requirements

Previous security experience; Valid SIA Licence; Full UK driving licence; Access to your own vehicle is essential; Strong communication and customer service skills; Professional, reliable and approachable attitude; Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure; Flexible approach to travelling between sites
