Research Specialists Manager - FT - Days - MHS

Performs clinical and administrative functions in support of the design, implementation, and management of clinical research projects. Has direct supervision of Research Specialists in designated specialty.

Responsibilities

Direct supervision of research specialists in designated specialty, including hiring, work product and performance management; Participates in the selection, education, testing and monitoring of research project patients; Collaborates with other healthcare providers to ensure continuity and efficacy of study protocols and patient care; Documents patient/study results using departmental information systems and applications; Communicates patient/study results on an on-going basis to research team; Assists with designing and procuring funding for new study protocols; Assists with the preparation, submission and management of internal/external compliance documentation at all stages of the research project; Monitors the quality assurance process; Participates in QA/QI initiatives to ensure the department's compliance with applicable standards of care and regulatory requirements

Requirements

Accredited Program: Nursing; BLS American Heart E-Card; BLS American Heart RQI E-Card; BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard; BLS Certification Grace; BLS Cert Red Cross; Registered Nurse Compact License; Registered Nurse License - State of Florida; Three (3) years nursing and two (2) years of Clinical Research experience; Proof of Graduation certificate for foreign trained MDs or equivalent clinical programs or Registered Nurse (RN); Foreign Medical doctor or equivalent relevant degree; Accountability; Customer Service; Develops Relationships; Effective Communication; Project Management; Responding to Change; Standards of Behavior; Requires critical thinking skills; effective communications skills; decisive judgment; ability to work with minimal supervision; must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action

Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
