Retail Store Associate

We are looking for an enthusiastic, customer-obsessed Studio Sales Associate to join our team in our Thruway Center studio location. You will be responsible for creating an exceptional piercing and shopping experience for our customers in a genuine and enthusiastic manner, supporting the team on the weekends. This position involves assisting customers with ear piercings, providing product recommendations, and ensuring the studio maintains Rowan's high standards of cleanliness and safety. This is an hourly, non-exempt position, reporting to the Studio Manager.

Responsibilities

Warmly greet and welcome customers; Check customers in or help them book appointments using POS, technology and software systems; Help customers choose and style piercing and hypoallergenic non-piercing jewelry; Professionally answer customer questions about piercing procedures, aftercare, and product details on the selling floor or by phone; Promote and upsell products including non-piercing jewelry and aftercare kits; Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product offerings, materials, styles, and care instructions; Meet or exceed individual sales targets and performance metrics; Help keep the studio clean, organized, and stocked; Follow all health and safety regulations, particularly for piercing procedures and hygiene; Assist managers with receiving, restocking, pricing, displaying, cleaning, and maintaining inventory; Work closely with the Studio Manager and Studio Nurse Piercers; Participate in team meetings and training sessions; Support studio-wide goals and a positive work environment; Process transactions accurately, including sales, returns, and exchanges; Assist with inventory management through regular stock checks and replenishing displays; Maintain accurate customer records, including consent and waiver forms and aftercare instructions

Requirements

Able to work weekends, nights and holidays; Ability to lift up to 25 pounds; Ability to climb ladders, bend, lift, push, and reach above and below the waist; Able to stand for a full 8-hour shift; Strong communication skills; Strong basic math skills; Independent thinker with a can-do attitude; Passion for jewelry and helping customers choose earrings; Commitment to exceptional customer service; Thrives in a busy environment and stays productive when it is quieter; Enjoys spending time with people; Friendly, outgoing, and easy to get along with; Enjoys being part of a team; Flexible and willing to lend a helping hand; Makes a commitment and sticks to it
