RF Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Secret Cleared RF Engineer in Chelmsford, MA to work in an environment with a mix of cutting-edge design and genuine hands-on electronics laboratory testing and product development. This exciting role offers the RF professional an opportunity to be a key contributor on our team of industry-leading RF design experts. Start and train on the first shift for 6 weeks before moving to the second shift.

Responsibilities

Support the production of complex multi-function modules used in challenging high-reliability applications in all phases of the product life cycle; Work on complex technical problems and provide solutions that are innovative and ingenious; Act independently to uncover and resolve issues associated with the implementation of operational products; Collaborate with other engineering disciplines including hardware engineers, systems engineers, and circuit design engineers as well as technical and manufacturing support personnel

Requirements

Secret clearance; Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred or BS Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) accepted plus a minimum of 5+ years of relevant professional engineering experience; Experience with troubleshooting designs and resolving integration issues in a production or manufacturing environment is required; Experience with hands on hardware; Experience with the use of RF microwave test equipment and microwave simulation tools is required; Excellent communication and presentation skills are required.

Nice to have

MS in electrical engineering or closely related technical field; Significant relevant experience in the defense electronics industry; Expertise with RF subsystems and hardware including antennas, transmitters, receivers, microwave components, low noise amplifiers, high power amplifiers, advanced electronic modules, amplifiers, mixers, switches, frequency generation circuits, and frequency conversion circuits; Experience with microelectronics assembly techniques; Expertise with technical documentation such as specifications, schematic drawings, and test data; Strong communication skills; Experience with customer interface including technical presentations; Prior RF design experience; Ability to lead failure investigations on production or technical issues; Ability to work in a team collaborative environment especially with manufacturing and industrial engineers and/or operator on production support
