Job Summary

The Equipment Engineer is responsible for supporting and optimizing the substrate manufacturing equipment and Automation implementation/Integration. This role combines hands-on Equipment ownership and operational excellence with applied engineering analysis, ensuring consistent equipment stability, product quality, yield improvement, and Capacity Improvement and OEE. The engineer will also contribute to data-driven research and improvement initiatives to advance equipment capability.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with engineering teams to identify opportunities for automation improvements.; Assist in designing, testing, and implementing automation solutions, including hardware and software components.; Support the integration of control systems, sensors, actuators, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to optimize performance.; Document project progress, technical specifications, and outcomes for future reference and compliance. Stay updated on emerging automation technologies and contribute innovative ideas to improve system capabilities.; Deliver Factory/Equipment digitalization solution and IIOT proliferation.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering. Candidates from Computer Science with exposure and interest in Hardware and encouraged to apply.; Proficiency in SolidWorks , or equivalent engineering software will be added advantage.; Programming skills: C++ , Python, SQL, PLC will be added advantage.; Knowledge in Communication Protocol, Hardware Software Interface, Analog/Digital signal processing will be added advantage.; Experience in technical report writing , field data collection, equipment condition assessment and Digital Twin.; Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in operational environments
