ROOM SERVICE - Runner

We are looking for a highly motivated, customer focused Room Service Runner to join our team! Room Service is responsible for taking guests’ orders over the phone and delivering food & beverage to guest rooms. They are responsible for ensuring accurate food orders as well as timely delivery.

Responsibilities

Maintain constant communication with culinary and service colleagues; Verify table number, seat number, menu item, modifications, and accompaniments before leaving the kitchen; Deliver food promptly to the correct guest and position; Announce dishes professionally when appropriate; Ensure required condiments, sauces, utensils, and accompaniments are delivered with each item; Maintain knowledge of menu ingredients and common allergens sufficient to safely perform the role; Never guess when asked an allergy or ingredient question; obtain assistance from the appropriate colleague; Inspect plates for obvious presentation or accuracy issues before delivery; Immediately communicate missing, incorrect, delayed, or compromised items; Maintain cleanliness and organization of expo and food-running areas; Assist with table maintenance, clearing, resetting, water service, and other service functions when operationally necessary; Follow food-safety requirements when transporting and handling food; Support all designated Food & Beverage outlets as assigned based on business needs; Perform opening, running, and closing side work; Perform other reasonable duties as assigned

Requirements

Ability to learn menus, table numbers, seat positions, and service standards; Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail
