Salon Manager

You’ll be the heartbeat of the salon managing all operations and providing leadership and tools for success. Leading by example, you’ll help your staff increase their clientele and the business. You will focus on the profitability of the salon and teach stylists the ins and outs of business.

Responsibilities

Manage all salon operations; provide leadership and tools for success; help staff increase clientele and business; focus on salon profitability; teach stylists the ins and outs of business; provide all hair care services offered by Hair Masters; ensure the highest quality is provided for each guest; coach and mentor salon employees; ensure a positive work environment; hire, recruit, and train staff; handle conflicts and client complaints with ease and professionalism

Requirements

Lead by example; customer service at your core; resolve challenges with professionalism; bring out the best in others by training and developing your team; create a positive work environment; provide guidance on business and technical competency matters; keep the salon’s bottom line in mind; current cosmetology or barber license as required by state/provincial regulations; work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends; tech savvy and able to perform administrative tasks; able to close out the system at the end of the day; able to read, write, and do basic math; available to travel to mandatory meetings and training sessions, including overnight travel; good eyesight including close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus; comfortable with standing, lifting, bending, and performing repetitive movements; occasionally lifting 10-25 lbs; comfortable with fragrances and chemicals
