Security Officer - Part-Time/Swing

As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for safeguarding properties, deterring criminal activity, and ensuring the safety of businesses, construction sites, and residential communities, etc. Your role requires vigilance, strong decision-making, and excellent communication skills to handle security incidents effectively. Officers at this location are responsible for hourly tours, deescalation, and maintaining a presence during your shift. Shifts: Saturday and Sunday, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM. 16 hours per week, with opportunity for additional shifts.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine patrols to monitor and secure designated locations; Identify and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and unauthorized access; Maintain a visible presence to deter criminal activity and ensure public safety; Respond swiftly to incidents and provide support in emergency situations; Document daily activity, incidents, and observations accurately in reports; Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding security updates and concerns; Conduct hourly tours, deescalation, and maintain a presence during your shift

Requirements

Valid BSIS Guard Card (required); Current with BSIS Compliance; 8-Hour Initial Training Certificate; 32-hour continuing education certificates; Clean driving record and ability to operate company/site vehicles safely; Experience working graveyard shifts; Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor; Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs; Ability to remain alert, responsive, and proactive in high-pressure situations
