Security Shift Supervisor

Titan Security is seeking an operational, highly professional Security Shift Supervisor to manage shift operations for a iconic 52-story, Class A skyscraper and 1.5-acre riverside plaza in Chicago’s West Loop. Reporting directly to the Security Director, this role leads on-duty security officers, oversees access control and CCTV monitoring, and maintains security and customer service standards across a 1 million+ sq. ft. commercial property. Schedule for this role: Thursday - Sunday: 3:00pm-11:00pm, Monday: 11:00pm-07:00am.

Responsibilities

Lead, direct, and motivate on-duty security officers; Report directly to Site Supervisor/Director and/or Marksman/Titan Management; Manage a team of security officers including training, coaching, development and support; Ensure the Client Site is provided with high quality security services to protect people and property; Handle all escalated security issues or emergency situations appropriately; Develop staff in both technical and professional skills through performance management; Assist in coordination and/or conduct site-specific training; Reconcile logs, shift responsibilities and patrols; Develop/maintain operational procedures and post orders; Maintain access control procedures; Effectively utilize access control systems, visitor management systems and CCTV systems; Identify all tenants and/or visitors upon arrival; Ensure visitors and vendors are properly signed in; Observe departing personnel to guard against theft; Monitor security cameras; Respond to incidents including property emergencies; Conduct general patrols of the entire property; Assist tenants and visitors with directions; Clearly and accurately record data; Maintain clear, accurate logs; Provide excellent customer service

Requirements

High School diploma or general education degree (GED); 3 years prior satisfactory employment as a security officer or directly related experience; At least 18 years of age; At least 2 years of continuous supervisory experience; Valid Security License if required by state; Driver's license as applicable; Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check; Maintain a working telephone number; Ability to stand for extended periods of time; Ability to lift, push, and/or pull at least 50 lbs.; Ability to accommodate foot patrols on the interior & exterior of the assigned facility; Ability to perform assigned duties regardless of inclement weather
