Security Software Engineer

Most security jobs are built around operating tools, responding to alerts and managing processes. This isn’t one of them. We’re partnering with a highly technical global organisation seeking Security Software Engineers to help build and improve the systems, tooling and infrastructure that protect the firm’s people, data and technology. This is an engineering-first security role.

Responsibilities

Help build and improve the systems, tooling and infrastructure that protect the firm’s people, data and technology; Building software; Automating processes; Improving security controls; Helping investigate incidents; Partnering with engineers across the organisation to solve complex technical problems

Requirements

Strong software engineering fundamentals and the ability to write high-quality code; Experience building applications, services, tools, automations or internal platforms; Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, Rust or similar; A passion for problem-solving and a desire to build solutions rather than manually operate processes; An interest in cybersecurity, security engineering or secure systems design; The ability to think critically about security trade-offs and explain technical decisions clearly; A collaborative mindset and a desire to work closely with engineers across the business
