SEIU Cashier, Cafeteria

Performs cashier duties as major function and performs other cafeteria duties to fill in as directed. Handles simple cash payments, makes change, sets up menu boards, and assists at counter when needed.

Responsibilities

Performs cashier duties as major function; performs other cafeteria duties to fill in as directed; handles simple cash payments; makes change; sets up menu boards; assists at counter when needed; obtains cash boxes; collects cash payments and makes change; uses standard procedure for non-paying customers; counts money, turns in to proper personnel, receives receipt, and enters in records; stocks cash register with change and tape; may perform bookkeeping of related information such as number of customers and types of food served and purchased

Ability to read and write; ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; facility in working with figures; ability to work compatibly around students and staff
