SEIU Food Service Worker

Exercising courtesy in contacts with patients, customers and department staff, sets up, serves and cleans up food service area; prepares orders, such as soda fountain dishes, desserts, etc., as directed. Maintains prescribed standards of sanitation, housekeeping and safety in assigned work area.

Responsibilities

Sets up, serves and cleans up food service area; prepares orders, such as soda fountain dishes, desserts, etc., as directed; maintains prescribed standards of sanitation, housekeeping and safety; performs limited food preparation or final processing of simple salads, desserts, vegetables; sets up, maintains and cleans beverage containers and related equipment; checks need for replacement of items and notifies proper personnel; washes and sanitizes dining room tables and chairs; sets up patient trays; pulls/pushes food transporters; maintains proper housekeeping, sanitation and safety standards; may occasionally act as fill-in cashier; may perform other food service duties as required.

Requirements

Ability to read and write English; ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
