Senior Director (m/w/d) Project & Development Services for Data Center

JLL is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Director (m/w/d) Project & Development Services for Data Center. The qualified candidate will oversee a wide variety of colocation and hyperscale data center projects from feasibility studies, site due diligence, campus planning, conceptual/schematic/detailed design through construction documents, and construction administration.

Responsibilities

Provide effective leadership and management for project delivery, ensuring timely and quality performance by the project team; Develop and prepare PSPs (Project Structure Plans), RAIC Matrix and PEPs (Project Execution Plans) in accordance with the client; Coordinate and manage risk, mitigation, cost and change management; Draft communication plan and change management processes; Supervise design document submissions and review design documents from technical advisors/consultants; Develop, review and update the procurement strategy; Review and approve the HSE strategy and plan; Review value engineering proposals and alternate material requests from the contractor; Review contractor prequalification during tender stage and recommend contractor selection to the client; Arrange, coordinate and plan meetings with contractors and the client; Manage and coordinate project activities across concept, schematic, detailed design and Issued for Construction (IFC) stages; Manage and coordinate construction activities to ensure they follow the project program; Analyze monthly progress reports submitted by the contractor; Prepare responses to contractor letters and queries; Design, budget, supervise installation and commissioning of ICT&S systems (PSIM, CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, intercom, gate barrier, hostile vehicle mitigation, speed gate, audio visual, structured cabling); Liaise with authorities to obtain design drawing approvals; Conduct regular site inspections and certify installation works; Arrange weekly progress meetings with system integrators, contractors and client operation teams; Ensure safety of work methods and installation complies with the HSE plan; Lead data center core and shell due diligence and design projects from start to finish; Develop and enforce multi-site project and program management plans; Manage and grow the data center design team; Develop technical and financial proposals for new and add/move/change data center design projects; Develop trusting relationships with client stakeholders; Oversee preparation of project administration documents

Requirements

Minimum 10 years of experience as project lead or project manager for colocation and hyperscale data center projects; background in civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering; exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and German; willingness to travel
