Senior Full-stack Software Engineer (Java, Quarkus, Angular)

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and enhance backend applications using Java, focusing on performance, scalability, resilience, and maintainability; Build and maintain microservices with Quarkus, contributing to modern cloud-native architectures; Develop and maintain frontend solutions using Angular, working across the application stack when required; Design and implement event-driven solutions using AWS services such as SQS, SNS, Lambda, DynamoDB, and API Gateway; Work with distributed architectures and contribute to building reliable and resilient systems; Implement and evolve observability practices, including logging, metrics, and distributed tracing; Participate in architecture discussions, technical decision-making, code reviews, and initiatives focused on engineering quality; Contribute to automation, continuous improvement, and engineering productivity; Leverage AI-assisted development tools, such as Cursor or developer copilots, to improve development productivity and delivery quality; Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment

Requirements

Experience in software engineering, with a strong backend development focus; Strong proficiency in Java, with hands-on experience developing production-grade applications; Solid experience with Quarkus and Angular; Mandatory hands-on experience with AWS, particularly SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, Lambda, and API Gateway; Experience designing and developing microservices and distributed architectures; Understanding of event-driven architecture and cloud-based application development; Experience with observability practices, including metrics, logging, and tracing; Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments; Practical experience using AI-powered engineering tools, such as Cursor or developer copilots; Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with engineering and cross-functional teams; English level Intermediate/Upper-Intermediate

Nice to have

Experience with reactive programming, particularly Mutiny or Project Reactor; Previous experience working with financial markets, investment banking, or financial systems; Experience building highly scalable and resilient applications in cloud environments; Familiarity with modern AI-assisted software development practices and tools
