Senior Healthcare Project Manager

Shepley Bulfinch is seeking a well-rounded Senior Healthcare Project Manager who is creative and passionate about architecture, curious about solving complex problems, and looking to grow and learn from others that share the same values. The role involves managing a team of 3-10 people, establishing project workplans (staffing, budget, schedule) and fulfilling contractual, financial and cost control responsibilities. Special emphasis is placed on the importance of healthcare-specific planning and client relationships. The role includes leading or assisting on the internal production and delivery of architectural drawings, interfacing with clients, and leading meetings during the construction administration phase of a project. Up to 20% travel expected regionally and nationally.

Responsibilities

Requirements

A minimum of 10 years of experience working on all phases of architectural projects; Prior experience with healthcare facility design; B.Arch., M.Arch. or equivalent degree; Proficiency in healthcare regulations and codes; Significant experience managing and using Revit for architectural documentation, as well as experience reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs and revising documents in Revit; Up to 20% travel expected regionally and nationally; Ability to manage a team of 3-10 people, establishing project workplans (staffing, budget, schedule) and fulfilling contractual, financial and cost control responsibilities; Comfortable leading or assisting on the internal production and delivery of architectural drawings, interfacing with clients, and leading meetings during the construction administration phase of a project; Collaborative, flexible, and well-rounded; Proven experience in making your voice heard to fulfill the design goals of the firm; Ability to maintain positive working relationships with clients and contractors; Ability to thrive working independently and collaboratively; Passionate about design and comfortable explaining design choices; Strong foundation of technical knowledge and familiarity with both interior and exterior detailing
