Senior Information Security Specialist

Senior Information Security Specialist. We’re looking for an experienced Information Security, Information Assurance, Cyber Security or Security Architecture professional to join a collaborative team delivering secure technology across major digital transformation programmes. Working alongside architects, engineers and project teams, you’ll provide trusted technical assurance across cloud, infrastructure and enterprise technologies, helping to embed Secure by Design principles from the outset. If you enjoy solving complex security challenges and influencing technical decisions through pragmatic, risk-based advice, this could be the opportunity you’re looking for.

Responsibilities

Provide expert advice across a broad portfolio of technology and business change projects; Review solution designs, assess technical risk and ensure Secure by Design principles are embedded throughout the technology lifecycle; Help teams balance security with operational delivery, providing practical, risk-based advice; Contribute to security standards, support supplier assurance, assist with audits and security incidents, and mentor colleagues across the wider Information Assurance function

Requirements

Experience in Information Security, Information Assurance, Cyber Security, Security Architecture or Technical Security within a complex or highly regulated environment; Full UK driving licence; Ability to obtain and maintain the required level of vetting

Nice to have

Information Security, Information Assurance, Cyber Security or Security Architecture; Secure by Design and security design reviews; Cloud, infrastructure and enterprise security; Technical risk assessment and security assurance; NIST Cyber Security Framework, ISO 27001 or similar security standards; Working closely with architects, engineers and project delivery teams; Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISMP, CISM or equivalent; Experience gained within government, defence, emergency services, critical national infrastructure or other highly regulated organisations
