Senior Manager/Associate Director - Finance

As Senior Manager/Associate Director of Finance at Instawork India, you will own and oversee the finance/accounting team for Instawork India, a wholly owned subsidiary of Instawork (U.S. company). You will also own Accounts Receivable for the U.S. company, manage AR collections analysts, report to the U.S. Controller, and work closely with the Country Head. Responsibilities include end-to-end financial management, compliance, and partnering with the global finance team.

Responsibilities

Own and oversee finance/accounting team for Instawork India; Own Accounts Receivable for U.S. company including managing AR collections analysts; Report directly to U.S. Controller and work with Country Head; End-to-end financial management including payroll, accounts payable, corporate accounting, month-end close, regulatory/compliance, financial reporting, budget and forecasts; Partner with Country Head to design and implement internal policies for finance, expenses, and budgeting; Ensure Indian Entity compliance with laws and regulations; Work with global finance team to achieve business goals; Lead U.S. Accounts Receivable; Support month-end close, year-end close, and audit; Own accounting, payroll, bookkeeping, expense management and vendor payments for Indian entity; Calculate and remit statutory payments and taxes; Prepare financial statements and monthly MIS reports; Coordinate with statutory auditors, external consultants, banks and government agencies; Prepare and file GST and Income tax returns; Submit quarterly and annual returns; Supervise, mentor, and guide India finance team and AR collections analysts; Own end-to-end compliance including Financial Audit, RBI, STPI, MCA and other regulatory filings; Facilitate board meetings; Assist with global compliance and regulatory filings

Requirements

CA with 7-10 years of experience with strong knowledge of Indian Accounting; Knowledge of US GAAP; Ownership of financial operations workflows to support Corporate/Global team; Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets required, conversant with MS Office; Excellent written and communication skills; Ability to work some U.S. Pacific time zone hours; Proven experience with process improvements, automation and ability to incorporate AI to improve processes; Excellent people management skills

Nice to have

Experience working with a Big 4 firm is a plus; Have handled Global Financial Operations, particularly Accounts Receivable a plus; NetSuite experience is desirable
