Senior Mental Health Clinician - Youth Enhanced Services

The Youth Enhanced Services (YES) program supports young people aged 12–25 experiencing severe and complex mental health challenges. Delivered through the CCQ Mental Health AOD Hubs, the program offers multidisciplinary care, therapeutic interventions, and community connection. As a Senior Mental Health Clinician, you will lead the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based therapy to young people, while mentoring junior clinicians and contributing to service development. You will work closely with families, schools, and local services to create coordinated care plans. Based in Rockhampton and the surrounding area, with hybrid and flexible working arrangements. Max-term position until 30 June 2027.

Responsibilities

Lead and deliver specialist counselling using CBT, DBT, ACT and other modalities; Support and mentor junior clinicians to maintain high service standards; Collaborate with local stakeholders to ensure integrated care; Document clinical work accurately and meet service targets; Participate in supervision, team meetings, and referral pathway development; Work closely with families, schools, and local services to create coordinated care plans; Contribute to service development

Requirements

Experience in individual therapy with adolescents; Understanding of trauma, youth mental health, and recovery principles; Experience in delivering evidence based therapies including CBT, DBT and ACT; A minimum Bachelor qualification in Counselling, Social Work (or Master of Social Work), Occupational Therapy or Nursing with a Mental Health specialisation; Current registration with a professional body
