Responsibilities

Plan, design, implement, and provide ongoing support of network systems of high complexity in Internet environments to fulfill business needs for performance and cost benefits; Serve as a technical lead for hardware installation, configuration, and operational support of these networks’ routers and switches; Provide highest level of technical consultancy to ensure problem resolution is achieved in the shortest possible timeframe; Development of processes and procedures for use by the Network team and third parties in the management of network environments; Develop and position solutions and build plans to effectively gain buy-in from all participants; Develop and streamline processes to further improve delivery of Global Network and Telecommunication services; Provide recommendations to management team to increase effectiveness of organization and technology solutions

Requirements

At least 7 years of experience in a Sr. Network Engineering role; Expertise on IP Technologies and extensive knowledge of WAN technologies; Extensive experience and expertise on IP routing protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP; Expert engineering knowledge of load balancing / traffic management technology including F5 Big-IP/Viprion for LTM/GTM; Expert engineering knowledge of WAN optimization technology, including Riverbed Steelhead, to optimize application traffic across the WAN links; Advanced understanding of TCP/IP network protocols, including common application protocols; This position will need to be able to communicate and work effectively with implementation teams, customer relations, and internal/external customers to engineer solutions to meet the needs of all stakeholders; Advanced process orientation and exhibited planning, organizational, and problem solving skills; Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and leadership skills along with effective communication (both written and verbal in English) skills; The ability to support network operations in an on-call fashion is a requirement
