Senior Planner

The role involves leading project planning, scheduling and reporting across complex programmes. Security clearance: applicants will be required to meet certain residency criteria to attain a minimum level of UK security clearance if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level.

Responsibilities

Lead the planning, production and management of project schedules across complex programmes; Coordinate work packages, track progress against milestones and manage resource planning; Oversee and review sub-contractor programmes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project objectives; Engage with stakeholders to report on progress, risks, opportunities and project changes; Support bid and proposal activities through manhour estimating and project planning input; Produce clear project reporting, including critical path analysis and performance metrics for senior leadership

Requirements

Intermediate-level Primavera P6 experience (essential); Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project; Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines; Excellent communication skills, able to clearly present project progress and key risks; Strong attention to detail with the confidence to challenge and review contractor submissions

Nice to have

Proven experience planning projects under NEC4 contracts (particularly Option A & Option C); Background in major infrastructure design and build projects; Experience within the Nuclear or Defence sectors
