Senior Product Manager - Social Experience

Payward, the parent company behind Kraken, NinjaTrader, Breakout, xStocks, Payward Services and CF Benchmarks, is hiring a Product Manager with deep UX and interaction design expertise to build social experiences around investing and trading at Kraken. The role requires designing flows, building interactive prototypes, and owning product decisions about which customer problem to solve, what to ship first, and how to measure improvement. Kraken was founded in 2011 and is trusted by over 10 million individuals and institutions. Unless a specific application deadline is stated, applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

Responsibilities

Design complete social journeys from discovery through return visits; Make interaction details work, including navigation, information hierarchy, copy, defaults, gestures, and feedback; Prototype before committing to a build and give engineering clear flows, states, and acceptance criteria; Use psychology to improve participation in posting, following, and responding; Run usability sessions and combine observations with funnel data to fix friction; Design for first use and repeated use, keeping sharing lightweight during active trading sessions; Connect design decisions to measurable outcomes and work with data science to evaluate experiments; Take the experience through launch and use post-launch evidence to decide what to improve next

Requirements

Has designed and shipped consumer social experiences, with contributions to feeds, profiles, sharing, messaging, discovery, or communities; Has strong interaction design craft and can explain why a flow is structured a particular way; Can build realistic interactive prototypes using Figma, code, AI tools, or a combination, including transitions, empty states, and failure states; Understands behavior through evidence and can show where user research challenged assumptions and changed a design; Can own product outcomes by prioritizing problems, defining success, interpreting funnel and cohort data, and evaluating experiments; Understands the context of social finance, including how credibility, incentives, reputation, and visibility of financial activity affect what people trust and choose to share
