Site Surveyor - Corsicana, Texas

XYZ Reality are the creators of the world's first and only engineering-grade Augmented Reality solution, purpose built for the construction industry. As a Site Surveyor at XYZ Reality, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining both primary and secondary control on-site using a Robotic Total Station to enable the usage of the Atom. Once established, part of your daily tasks will be to wear the Atom, using it to eliminate construction and design errors on-site, which would otherwise lead to costly and time-consuming rework. This is a permanent role. Ongoing assignments will be subject to project availability and the candidate's flexibility to travel or relocate.

Responsibilities

Establish and maintain primary and secondary control on-site using a Robotic Total Station; Conduct daily site inspections using the Atom (Augmented Reality headset) to ensure works are installed correctly as per the BIM Model; Client communication and reporting; Produce reports based on the inspections from that day; Attend meetings to coordinate with contractors to plan daily activities; Process and review all acquired data to ensure it is accurate and reliable; Report to the Field Operations Manager and ensure all requested inspections are conducted within the specified time frame; Work with the Contractor to devise a weekly lookahead of inspections in line with the master construction programme; Obtain and prepare the latest approved Revit models to export into HoloSite

Requirements

Experience in construction surveying or engineering surveying; Strong experience using Robotic Total Stations for construction layout and control; Must be confident in using Microsoft Office; Must have a clean criminal record; Willingness to undergo background checks and drug tests

Nice to have

Experience working on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects; Knowledge of 3D software (Revit, Navisworks etc) or BIM / BIM360
