Skilled Labor Float - VN (Warehouse/Cooler Operator)

Job Summary: Listed below for both Cooler Operator and Warehouse Operator. Cooler Operator - This job position includes the planning, picking, loading, and finalizing of finished goods trailers, and onsite/offsite driving responsibilities. Warehouse Operator – This job position includes the receiving, transferring, picking, and put away of all dry goods and packaging supplies.

Responsibilities

Planning, picking, loading, and finalizing finished goods trailers; Onsite/offsite driving; Taking cooler inventories and monitoring cooler for proper temperatures; Working directly with cooler load out/drivers, production, manufacturing, and WWTP personnel; Receiving, transferring, picking, and putting away of all dry goods and packaging supplies; Unloading of stock trucks and placement of stock; Returning all unused stock to its proper place and verifying cases are sealed; Separating, bailing, and wrapping cardboard; Discarding all garbage from the production floor; Assuring all packaging materials, supplies, and stock are transferred between warehouses daily; Picking/staging stock, fruit, and ingredients for production needs; Maintaining Incoming Ingredient and Packaging Examination Logs; Performing routine weekly and monthly physical inventories; Keeping work areas neat and clean at all times; Understanding and following all safety procedures

Requirements

Must obtain and maintain forklift certification at all times; Must be proficient in the Log Pro system; Must ensure trailers are clean and units are set to proper temperature prior to loading; Must ensure loads are clean, wrapped properly, and placed on trailer following load specifications; Must take cooler inventories and monitor cooler for proper temperatures; Must maintain documented information as per SQF requirements; Must keep work areas neat and clean to conform to GMP and SQF requirements; Must understand and follow all safety procedures and wear proper PPE; Must receive and maintain a valid forklift license; Must be proficient in the Log Pro system to pick, deduct, and transfer stock compliant with Stock Rotation Policy (FIFO); Must unload stock trucks and place stock in accordance with Material and Ingredient Receiving SOP, Raw Material Storage Policy, and Master Approved Supplier list; Must return unused stock to proper place and verify cases are sealed; Must demonstrate working knowledge of Yard Truck Operation; Must notify Warehouse Foreman or Supervisor of low stock issues; Must assist Warehouse Foreman with inventory checks; Must maintain Incoming Ingredient and Packaging Examination Logs; Must perform routine weekly and monthly physical inventories; Must stay until job is completed or relieved; Must perform any other assignments by Manager, Supervisor, or Foreman
