Social Worker

Responsibilities

Support clients with housing, financial and community-based needs; Navigate MSD and ACC processes with clients, including advocacy and applications; Assist with court-related matters (e.g., reports, attending hearings when appropriate, liaising with legal services); Connect clients with services such as mental health providers, parenting support, budgeting, or family support agencies; Help clients understand and access community resources and entitlements; Provide practical support around safety planning, whānau dynamics, and social barriers impacting rehabilitation; Collaborate with the MDT to ensure social and environmental factors are included in rehab planning

Requirements

Qualified Social Worker with relevant registration/ certification; Strong interpersonal communication skills; Clear, professional written and verbal communication with clients, whānau and stakeholders; At least 2 years' experience working in a social work or community services environment
