Software Engineer Lead

Creates and leads the technical design and development of software solutions. Proposes & designs software solutions to address complex business needs. Prepares technical and procedural documentation required. Facilitates complex problem resolution. Provides technical guidance and support to colleagues. Reviews coding, testing, and documentation of software. Applies modern principles, methodologies and tools to advance business initiatives and capabilities.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end Automation and Document AI initiatives, from solution design to production deployment; Architect and develop AI-powered document processing solutions (classification, extraction, validation); Drive adoption of best practices in coding, CI/CD, code quality, and security (e.g., SonarQube); Design and implement scalable, cloud-native applications on Kubernetes/OpenShift (OCP); Collaborate closely with business, product, and architecture teams to translate requirements into technical solutions; Provide technical leadership and mentorship to automation and AI engineering teams; Ensure compliance with banking, lending, and regulatory standards; Evaluate and integrate emerging tools and technologies in automation, GenAI, and Document AI; Creates and leads the technical design and development of software solutions; Proposes & designs software solutions to address complex business needs; Prepares technical and procedural documentation required; Facilitates complex problem resolution; Provides technical guidance and support to colleagues; Reviews coding, testing, and documentation of software; Applies modern principles, methodologies and tools to advance business initiatives and capabilities

Requirements

Python (expert level); Django or similar Python web frameworks; JavaScript (for UI integration or frontend orchestration); PyCharm (or equivalent Python IDE); Sonar / SonarQube for code quality and security scanning; OpenShift (OCP) / Kubernetes for containerized deployments; CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices; Strong understanding of automation architecture, microservices-based systems, and APIs; Experience building document-centric automation solutions (PDFs, forms, statements, applications); Experience working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle, or similar); Familiarity with schema design, performance tuning, and transactional systems; University/college degree with 3+ years of relevant/direct industry experience; Comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered; Bachelors
