Software Generalist — Tools, Dashboards, Frameworks & Performance (Python / Rust / C++ / Web)

Fiducial is a young deep-tech start-up developing and deploying software for on-board UAV 3D vision in military applications. We build the software behind our autonomous flight systems, plus a surprising amount of supporting software around it. This role is for someone who will build internal tools, shared libraries, and product-supporting infrastructure using Python, Rust, C++, or the browser, while working closely with the teams that use the tools.

Responsibilities

Build internal tools, shared libraries, and product-supporting infrastructure; Build flight operations dashboard; Build Rust deployment tool; Build high-performance C++ camera-interfacing library; Build data annotation software; Build product-metric CI dashboards; Embed with the team and iterate on solutions; Deploy to the field with flight ops; Work inside product codebases; Annotate data yourself and eliminate usability friction

Requirements

Fluency with vibe coding as a core, daily skill; You own outcomes; You orient fast in unfamiliar territory; You architect for use and for change; Language-agnostic; You’ve shipped real software in more than one of Python, Rust, C++, and modern web stacks; Strong systems and performance instinct

Nice to have

Background in graphics, game dev, or real-time systems; Networking depth; Rust and/or modern C++ in production; Experience owning internal tooling or developer-experience work; Comfort with hardware-in-the-loop or field-deployed systems; Built the in-house version of something other teams usually buy
