Solution Architect - .net

Working within the Health business, you will be responsible for defining the policies and standards that guide technology delivery, possessing significant experience in modern, cloud based technology standards and practices. As Solution Architect you are accountable for providing architectural design and technology roadmaps for complex Health applications supporting high volume, mission critical products and services. You'll work hand in hand with our Product Managers, Delivery and Technical Leads in order to influence and define a technology roadmap to meet both our commercial and technology aims. Core aim of this role is to provide technical assurance to ensure successful deployment of NEC SWS Public Safety products into a given client whilst also protecting our commercial position. To be successful in the role, we need someone who can mediate between people and explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences, particularly someone who is confident in communicating with stakeholders at all levels. Someone who understands the evolutionary nature of technology delivery in an agile environment. As you may imagine, our stakeholder expectations are high, and we'll need you to facilitate discussions about high risk and complexity even within constrained timescales.

Responsibilities

Defining the policies and standards that guide technology delivery; providing architectural design and technology roadmaps for complex Health applications; working with Product Managers, Delivery and Technical Leads to influence and define a technology roadmap; providing technical assurance to ensure successful deployment of NEC SWS Public Safety products into a given client; ensuring scope of supply is correctly documented and maintained; ensuring technical project risks are identified and managed; ensuring any non-functional requirements from a customer are agreed and documented; ensuring impact assessments are practical, have well defined scope and implementation and use existing products and technologies wherever possible; delivering/managing High Level Designs for solutions; delivering documentation including diagrams, dataflows, and solution working detail; identifying opportunities for selling additional product capability; mediating between people and explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences; facilitating discussions about high risk and complexity even within constrained timescales

Requirements

Significant experience in modern, cloud based technology standards and practices; ability to mediate between people and explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences; confidence in communicating with stakeholders at all levels; understanding of the evolutionary nature of technology delivery in an agile environment; C++; C#; SQL Server; Windows platforms; Domains / AD; Authentication & Authorisation methods inc. OAuth; Development Patterns; Data & Database Management; Messaging/Message Brokers/Buses including RabbitMQ; Common API frameworks including REST, SOAP; Well-Architected Frameworks; Technology evolutions & roadmaps; Cloud Solutions – AWS/Azure/OCI; Networking & communication of solutions & components; Security aspects of solutions, integrations & connectivity; Architectural Patterns and their uses; Integration Patterns

Nice to have

Has worked with UK clients and team (Preferred); Has working experience of the onshore – offshore model; Has experience of commercial awareness in aspects such as revenue recognition and margin management
