Spa Therapist

The Spa Therapist is responsible to deliver professional massage therapy, body treatments, ensuring maximum efficiency, safety, and uncompromising attention to Guests & Members. They will provide courteous services to guests & members at all times, and have comprehensive knowledge and details of all spa treatments, products, facilities and services.

Responsibilities

Deliver professional massage therapy, body treatments, ensuring maximum efficiency, safety, and uncompromising attention to Guests & Members; Provide courteous services to guests & members at all times; Have comprehensive knowledge and details of all spa treatments, products, facilities and services; Demonstrate commitment to provide warm, anticipative service to exceed the needs and expectations of discerning guests; Maintain cleanliness of the facilities and peak sanitary conditions at all times; Perform all massage, body treatments, and aesthetic services as certified or trained and per Movenpick brand standards; Ensure individualized guest service through acknowledging and responding to needs and expectations; Review guest’s medical history/waiver prior to performing each treatment; Maintain clean and neat work environment and safe working order of equipment; Maintain proper supplies of professional products, towels, and other supplies in treatment rooms; Possess thorough knowledge about all aspects of spa operations including telephone usage, guest relations, retail sales, and spa services and facilities; Assist members and guests with use of spa facilities (sauna, steam, salt room, etc.); Work with related hotel departments to ensure efficiency in meeting guest needs; Contribute to team environment by assisting spa colleagues in all areas; Participate in orientation and training of new/temporary colleagues; Follow Occupational Health and Safety regulations; Perform other duties as required

Requirements

Outstanding guest service skills, professional presentation and sophisticated verbal and written communication skills; Guest-oriented, vibrant personality, and enthusiasm to assist people; Proficient in English language (verbal and written); Ability to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, ever-changing environment; Flexibility in terms of working hours; Ability to work with little or no supervision

Nice to have

Minimum of two-year experience in spa industry or hospitality; second or third language
