Sr. Software Engineer - Container Security

Responsibilities

Developing containerized (micro) services for a distributed multi-tenant system that process data and real time events and network telemetry from multiple public clouds to provide real time insights, visibility, and security recommendations to customers; Designing your service, working out all details, defending design/architecture before peers, and delivering a rock-solid implementation; Mentoring junior engineers, new-grads, and interns; Writing code in Go and working with data pipeline using SQL or other interfaces; leveraging Kubernetes for service infrastructure platform; Owning critical features and subsystems and owning the entire software development lifecycle from clarifying requirements to deployment and usage; Owning operational aspects of the system and being on the front lines; Owning code quality with early developer testing and functional/integration testing; Partnering with Product Management to review and refine requirements; Developing deep understanding of fundamental customer problems through interaction with stakeholders and peers

Requirements

Bachelor's in computer science or equivalent degree; 4+ years building distributed & scalable software and systems; Passion for software development, willing to constantly learn, keeping up with technological trends, and working in a team setting; AWS / Azure / GCP cloud experience with extensive use of one platform at the API/programming level; Experience in Go and SQL; REST API client experience; General TCP/IP networking knowledge; Unix/Linux programming environment experience; Compliance with U.S. export controls

Nice to have

Master's degree; Experience with networking and security controls; Experience delivering a containerized service; CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible
