Stainless Steel Welder

POSITION SUMMARY The SS Welder is responsible for the day-to-day production of Pulpmill Services’ specialty welding business.

Responsibilities

Efficient in mig and/or tig welding of Stainless Steel; Proficient in reading weld symbols; Proficient in checking dimensions and thicknesses; Able to follow engineering plans, drawings and instructions; Other duties as required

Requirements

2+ years of high alloy welding experience; Valid driver’s license/State ID; Ability to pass a background check and drug screen; Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, etc.; Great sense of urgency; Good communication and people skills; Be able to think quickly and critically in response to scope changes on small to large equipment; Experience working in a metal fabrication shop; Ability to work independently and with other personnel; Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving your whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling materials
