Sterile Processing Technician - PT.5 PMs

Part time Sterile Processing Technician position at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital, 20 hours per week. Rotation weekends and on call.

Responsibilities

Decontaminate instruments and equipment; Assemble, package and wrap surgical instrumentation; Validate sterilization equipment; Perform sterilization; Perform inventory, storage and distribution functions; Perform low temperature Sterrad sterilization; Demonstrate leadership behaviors; Implement quality improvement ideas; Communicate to support team outcomes; Maintain effective functions in the department

Requirements

High school diploma; 1 yr. SPD experience; Certified Central Service Tech within 90 days of hire; Ability to communicate and follow directions; Computer skills; Experienced in operating sterilization equipment; Heavy lifting 30 to 35 lbs; Hepatitis vacc at hire; Ability to respond quickly to emergent situations; Strength/dexterity to handle surgical instruments/equipment; Ability to access all areas of the department; Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance
